What are the safety nets at construction sites

Safe net :

Safety nets are protective nets installed under or on the side of high-altitude building construction equipment installation or technical performance to prevent accidents caused by falling people or objects. Safety net consists of net body, side rope, tether and tendon. The mesh body is braided with net rope and has diamond or square mesh. Mesh size refers to the distance between two knots adjacent to the knit. The net ropes on the edges around the net body are called side ropes. The size (nominal size) of the safety net is determined by the size of the side rope; the rope that secures the safety net to the support is called a tether. In addition, ropes used to increase the strength of safety nets are collectively referred to as tendons.

Safety net is one of the important facilities for the safety protection of building construction. The setting of safety net should be clearly specified and required in the design of construction organization, and the technically complicated should be designed individually. Types of safety nets: safety nets are divided into vertical and horizontal settings according to the suspension method

Vertical setting

External scaffolding is mostly used for high-rise building construction, with safety nets covering the outside. Generally, safety nets woven with thin nylon ropes. The safety net should be tightly sealed and firmly fixed to the external scaffolding

Horizontal safety net

Horizontal safety nets are mostly used for the external scaffolding of multi-story buildings. They are woven with 9mm diameter hemp, brown or nylon ropes. The general specifications are 3m wide, 6m long, and 5cm mesh. Each good safety net should Able to withstand an impact load of not less than 1600N. A safety net is set up from the second floor, and every third to fourth floors are set up. At the same time, a safety net that is raised with the construction height is set up. It is required that the net rope is not damaged, the rooting should be firm, tight, tight, and tightly spliced. The net width is not less than 3m, and the minimum layer width should be 6m.
